I am a Partner and Head of Operations at BakerLaw.
Areas of Work
As Practice Manager, I am involved in the management of the firm on a day-to-day basis.
In particular, I am responsible for controlling financial reporting, business development and project management. I work to ensure that BakerLaw's IT systems are the most innovative, efficient and productive, implementing standardised processes across the firm.
In addition to technical aspects of my role, I am also responsible for motivating employees including trainees, solicitors and legal executives to ensure BakerLaw's renowned exceptional client service is maintained in all dealings. I have a strong aptitude in finance, instituting budgets, forecasts, management information and costs to minimise expenditure and maximise profit.
Qualifications and Experience
I joined the firm in 2012 after moving from Bakers Personal Injury Solicitors. Prior to this I studied for the BVC ( Bar Vocational Course) at BBP Law School London. I graduated from Leeds metropolitan University gaining a 2:1 LLB (Hons) Law Degree.
I began working for BakerLaw in 2012 as a paralegal and have worked in all areas of the firm, giving me a strong knowledge of the inner workings of all things BakerLaw. This has ultimately propelled me to my current position as Practice Manager.
Hobbies and Interests
I enjoy baking, reading, fitness including military boot camp and attending music festivals.
