Changes in the law, which come into effect on 22/04/2014, will mean those looking to apply for a Grant of Probate will need to pay increased fees.
At present, the total application cost is £105 for those making a personal application to the Probate Registry without instructing a solicitor. However the revised costs will now be £215.
If you instruct a solicitor to make the application, then this cost is increasing from £45 to £155.
In order to avoid these inflated fees, BakerLaw advises those seeking a Grant of Probate to do so without delay.
