We asked Kevin to reflect on his first three months at BakerLaw. Here’s what he had to say:
How have you found your first three months?
I have really enjoyed my first three months working at BakerLaw, in fact, I can’t quite believe three months has passed already! Joining a bigger firm with more people for me to interact with has been an absolute pleasure. Moving into a more digital environment with client-centric systems, has been a steep learning curve, however, has created some great stretch for me. I am also grateful that many of my previous clients have followed me, which has given me a great balance during my first few months.
How would you describe the culture at BakerLaw?
BakerLaw is a diverse, inclusive, friendly group of professional individuals that are passionate about offering excellent client service. BakerLaw has the resources of a large firm whilst offering the support and personal attention of a smaller family run firm.
I personally have been welcomed into the firm as a Partner and Head of the Property department. My fellow Partners and wider colleagues have been both professional and supportive of my transition.
What type of work do you do?
I specialise in Property law with a special focus and expertise in residential conveyancing. I work across the breadth of property transactions at all value levels including:
- Sales and purchases
- Freehold and leasehold
- Lease extensions
- Remortgages
- Transfer of equity
- Unregistered titles
- Voluntary first registrations
- Option agreements
- Help to buy
- Equity release
What are you most looking forward to at BakerLaw in the future?
BakerLaw has some exciting growth plans over the coming months which I feel very excited to be involved in. We have a dedicated, professional and friendly workforce and I am looking forward to continuing to build great relationships, as our team are a key element that differentiates us within the marketplace.
